It is important to note that, despite the fact that both the South African and New Zealand cricket boards were in favor of the PJL, they were unable to nominate players for the first season due to the conflict between the dates of the event and their players’ academic examinations.

Additionally to the nations participating in Test cricket, the PCB has received nominations from Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Nepal, Netherlands, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Scotland, and the United Arab Emirates.

As part of the PJL social media campaign, over 2500 videos were submitted by aspiring cricketers throughout Pakistan.

After assessing the videos, PCB coaches will announce the final list of players selected from the campaign who will be included in the draft.  If you were born on or after September 1, 2003, you are eligible for the PJL 2022 edition.

It is expected that Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium will host the inaugural edition of the Pakistan Premier League between 6 and 21 October. There will be a final list of qualified players, including foreign nominees, released in advance of the draft.
